Gunman surrenders in high school standoff

PINE PLAINS, N.Y. - A suspect who held a school administrator hostage at a New York high school surrendered Tuesday morning, the Duchess County Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities said there were no injuries.

Pine Plains Town Supervisor Gregg Pulver said the single gunman at Stissing Mountain High was a former student in his 40s.  Continue reading
