Honore: La. should pay for own hospital

NEW ORLEANS, May 15 (UPI) -- The former commander of Joint Task Force Katrina says if New Orleans needs a new hospital to replace one closed by the hurricane, Louisiana should pay for it.

Retired Lt. Gen. Russel Honore said Thursday New Orlean's Charity Hospital should have been reopened after the 2005 hurricane, yet it has remained closed and the state seems to be waiting for the Federal Emergency Management Agency to come up with money for a new facility.
